If I checked any of the above boxes, I'd be omitting my most important consideration:

The pertinence of the subject of the thread.

I tend to read threads that pertain directly to my interests, and often choose the most recent in the hope they might contain more current information.

I tend not to read threads about general personal preferences, which usually contain little that pertains to my specific interests (though I did look at this one, didn't I?).
