Hello,
I bought my first e-reader (the overpriced Sony Reader PRS-950 Daily Edition) a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I also discovered the existence of calibre at the same time and thank the gods for that, because the Sony Library tool is awful. I never use it. The first thing that cursed tool did after I installed it was automatically deleting all my collections on the reader device. I do not know what caused it, but I never want to use this Sony Library tool again. So, Calibre it is. What a superb piece of software.
I really am shocked that a company like Sony that created such a great piece of hardware, the PRS-950, at the same time created such a piece of crap software for it.
I have been reading and collecting books since I was a small child, 40 years ago. I am interested in all kinds of topics. Russian Literature, Horror, especially everything concerning Vampire stuff, Science Fiction, with an emphasis on Cyberpunk, Philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism, Advaita, Theology, Biology, Theory of Evolution, Political Science, Military technology, History and development of armored vehicles in ww2, Architecture, Concept art, Photography (I own a Canon 7D), Personal Computers, Computer gaming (action/RPG Stealth, Open world), etc. etc. etc.
