Plugboards or templates can't do anything of the kind. Plugboards only change the metadata in a book before it is sent, and templates... well, it depends where they're being used
The only place I know of that allows you to connect to a folder automatically is that tweak. You could submit
the relevant data to create an interface plugin for that device, though, maybe someone will add it.
