Well, part of that is because *they* are a rather poorly organized convention. They're alright overall, but they do too many amateurish things, especially for a convention as old as they are. Oh well. Maybe some day they'll get a clue and up their professionalism a bit. But even so, 98% of what makes the convention awesome isn't the con itself, but rather the incredible people it draws in. If it was just the con itself, I never would go. But I've got for three years and will continue going back because of all the great people I meet, including other authors.
