Yes, with Vista I could play Sims 3 without a problem, although the computer did get warm it didn't get too hot.

The problem is that from October until the end of March I mainly use my notebook for watch dvd's and surfing the web in bed. From April until the end of September I take it with me when I'm housesitting for friends and family. I know that last summer I didn't have any problems and IIRC it didn't get this warm when surfing the web. The only thing that has changed is that I installed Windows 7 (it has been standing on my bedtable all winter). Because I don't know if I had any overheating problems between October and when I installed Windows 7 I can't be sure if it's the heatsink or Windows 7.

The Intel chipset utility doesn't want to install because my system doesn't meet the minimal requirements. So I'm calling Toshiba on Monday to see what they have to say.

On a happier note; I'm planning what I'm going to do during my trip to Birmingham. If anyone has any suggestions of things I can do in Birmingham and Coventry (UK) I would like to hear them!
