I got the "special offers" Kindle as a gift. Since it was free, I didn't put up a fuss even though I ordinarily would never have bought this version.
However, I tried the jailbreak and screensaver hack, and it doesn't seem to work. The linkss folder is there, I have my own image in it, have rebooted, nothing works.
Has anyone had any success in getting this screensaver hack working with a "special offers" Kindle? I used the instructions for "Kindle 3 Wi-Fi"...
