That's one of the things that people don't seem to get with pens anymore. People always seem baffled at how much one of my pens cost, and I really haven't spent much on pens (My M200 is the most expensive I've bought, and I got a deal on it at $56, the rest are sub $40). Meanwhile, that pen will last for decades, and when parts eventually wear out, I can fix it. How much money will they spend on disposable pens in that period? My stepdad spends like $20 a year on pens. Factor that over the lifetime of my pen, with ink and everything in mind, I come out way cheaper in the long run. Plus, it requires less pressure, so my arm hurts less, and I get all sorts of fun things to play with on it like colors, etc.
