1) The advise I see all the time from successful people in the arts is "If you're doing this for the money quit now. There's very few people making money. Do it because you have to." It doesn't matter if you're a writer, actor, painter or musician, the same rule applies. There are more people that have to do it then there is money.

2) You're running a small business and when you're posting in sites like this you are presenting your business brand. It's not being two faced to filter strong opinions out.

3) Focus on what you can change and set aside things you can't.

4) Focus on the positive. I believe there are more opportunities now then there have ever been. More people will succeed then ever before.
