Viking helmets were quite pointy at top in order for the opponends sword to skip and slide off. The sword would probably then hit the shoulders but the chain mail had metal plates on top of the shoulders.

Very good. Very few helmets from Viking days have been discovered. They probably were melted down into other objects when they were damaged leaving a couple still around. No horns.
