So Dave, as I understand it, you are saying it is an operating system issue, not the fault of lazy app developers - i.e. the Android 2.2 OS doesn't permit them access to the Nook's internal memory. I don't doubt what you are saying at all. If this is the case, of course, it would mean that we'd have to wait till the Nook gets a higher or different version of Android before this was fixed.
It's not really a big deal, at least for me, although I do wish I could, for example, use ezPDF for internal PDFs and also use the File manager for internal file manipulation. They really need to TELL people about this, however.
(Please folks, let's keep this thread about the non-rooted Nook; we all know you could help this situation with rooting)
