I no longer have a desktop, so my laptop is my primary work device. I run my entire business on it.
So a tablet can't really replace a laptop for me. Where the tablet really shines is for travel. Small and light but still lets me check my email, access maps and browse the web.
And I don't have the problems of US border officials seizing my business laptop if I want to travel to the US. Apparently just entering the US gives them the right to seize and hold all our electronic devices like laptops, cell phones and laptops for months while they check them out.
Better to lose an inexpensive tablet than the laptop I run my business off of.
