I'm only playing devil's advocate because the vote is so close this time and led me to wonder but.....
It'd be interesting to see what would happen if there were two quicker votes - a first to narrow the field down to a few choices, and then a second final run-off between the top vote-getters.
instead of a minority plurality winning with possibly as little as 11% of the vote, we would have a majority or much closer to a majority choosing the selection.
