The Nook is not an international device, period.You need an American Credit card to access B&N content, period. You need an B&N account in order to browse its content and even to active some devices, period. If you are not in USA, how the user is going to do that? Using a proxy? will ask for your credit card? Don't you think that would be easier to get something that truly have that support without any of those workarounds?

You need a B&N account to activate your device!
