I ordered one for my step-father, and they're quite nice. My mother is buying him a nook for his 75th birthday, and so my sister and I had a m-edge cover made with his initials, a classy plaid, and his beloved beagle:

The interior is a very nice beige color. The exterior is heavy canvas cloth that feels a bit like duck cloth with a black leather spine. The cloth is quite "grippy" feeling, but the cover itself is very lightweight. I think he'll like it.
