Okay, 1984 isn't PD in the US.
The questions in my mind are:
Who is flogging this really old book and profiting from it in the US?
How do they have the right to the book? George Orwell hasn't been with us for some 61 years now, and his wives are gone now too. His surviving widow hasn't been with us for 30 years now.
Is there some sort of trade in old book rights in the US?
