However, it's more a collection of amusing brief scientist anecdotes, and if you're looking for serious science-history which goes into depth, then you definitely want to start with the other volumes and pick a topic you're interested in.
However, if you're a Richard Feynman fan, then the included Feynman stories (about 4 of them, IIRC, and you can read part of the "Safecracker" story online at the GT Labs website) will be worth the price of admission.
