same problem for me..

it work without problem with calibre 0.7.54, but since i update to calibre 0.7.57, i have a database error like this

calibre, version 0.7.57
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

database disk image is malformed

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 62, in run
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 319, in _sync_booklists
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 690, in sync_booklists
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 538, in update_device_database_collections
DatabaseError: database disk image is malformed

now i can't add or remove books with calibre.. each time i get this error..
