Does it say so on the site, or did you get an email? I tried it on a $10+ book and it's still showing as not active. Also, I wrote to Kobo yesterday about the early expiry of the code and, after a little back-and-forth (the first rep claimed to know nothing about the code), here is their latest response:

I'm curious as to what they mean by distribution issues - what it supposed to be geo-restricted?
