Well, since I consider unlimited sharing of my books, in violation of copyright, as also akin to punishment, it does mean they're taking advantage of me. Why would you do that? You'd do it if you
didn't like someone... and I know people dislike me for my opinions on digital security. Piracy is
NOT a sign of adoration.
It's either that, or all the statements that "books that are low-priced, in multiple formats, no DRM, no geographical restrictions, well-edited and well-proofed, won't be pirated"...
is just plain wrong, since my books are in the torrents now, despite the fact that, as so many others here love to point out, I'm a nobody.
(Which strikes out another way to beat piracy... even obscurity doesn't protect you from being pirated.)
