Unfortunately If/when the net is off and all ways and technologies allowing piracy to thrive are over, the authors can stop worrying about pirates and start worrying about the corporations that will milk them really bad in exchange for accepting to publish them. If that is any solace to the authors then by all means let's all go to that "brave new world".
