My answer might change if I ever treat myself to a tablet computer or iPad, but for knitting and other crafting books, I prefer the pbook versions. Otherwise, I feel like I'm missing out on the full-color photography that makes me say, "Oh, I want to make THAT!" (I'm sure that the cooks among us feel the same way). Plus, a lot of the lace knitting books that I like have ridiculously complicated charts that would end up being a pain to read on the Kindle's 6 inch screen.
