Can you describe what you mean by that without necessarily characterizing straight or gay men? In other words, do you want a partner who's more interested in aesthetics and culture than, say, sports, and who might understand feeling alienated from various wolf packs of males in public places? Are you looking for someone who admires and respects smart women? If so, I can relate and so can my current girlfriend. You're not as alone as you might think.

If your preference is for men who are a bit androgynous, then you ought to visit New York. Virginia Woolf said that writing fiction well is an androgynous act and most of my straight male friends are writers and musicians, just like me.
