Hello,
I am new to eReading/eReaders and am considering buying a NC. However, my main computer is a PowerPC Mac running OS X 10.4.11 and from what I am reading here that means that I can't use the Nook for Mac reader because it is only made for 10.6. Does this indeed mean that I can't use a NC or even a regular Nook 3G/Wireless (which I am also considering purchasing?) How will I be able to side load books, mp3's, pictures and videos to the Nook(s)? Isn't there also some issue with the formats that books are downloaded in when they are downloaded by Macs as compared to PCs and the format not being supported by Nooks or is it the Nook reader software? I am confused.
Basically what problems am I going to have using a Nook or NC given that I am using a Mac?
Some other questions:
How is the NC's music player's sound quality? Can it serve as a replacement for an iPod touch? Would I be able to walk with the NC in my bag/pocket while listening to it?
What specs do I have to make pictures and videos in order to view them on the NC?
Does either the N or NC have some sort of basic note program where I can write little reminders or To Do Lists?
Finally, does anyone know if there is something like the Hoodman video-camera hood (see picture) that one can attach to a NC so as to make it easier to read outdoors?
Thanks in advance for ANY and ALL help!!!
