I think the Kobo is just what a lot of people are looking for -simple, basic, ereading device.
I personally don't want an ereader that plays mp3s or one with a keyboard to get in the way.
Why does every electronic device have to do it all? Are companies afraid to be too specialized?
I think the Kobo could improve in some areas and it seems they're working towards that but what I don't want to see is too many 'extras' on the device and more attention paid to improving the basic reading experience (better reading screen, better contrast, faster page turns, collections - things like that).
Of course, what I consider a good basic reading experience will not be everyone's so perhaps I'm alone in this thinking.
