I checked this out because it was a horror novel by Edward Lee set in the world of Professional Wrestling. Since I worked for 10 years in that world for WWE, TNA, and local promotions, I thought it would be entertaining. I feel like a GOON for reading it.

Well....it was entertaining, but not in a GOOD way.
Lets make some comparisons:
The Wonder Boy Slick Dare -- complete with WOOO!!!! and Stylin' and Profilin' and from North Carolina.....I bet if they pushed it they could sue for the likeness of Ric Flair.
The Fabulous Goolah -- really? The Fabulous Moolah was the real one.
The list goes on, there is a rip off of Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ron Simmons (Farooq), a complete parody of how Ring-rats really act, and a terrible farce of representing independent wrestling.
Now none of this would be so bad if it didn't seem as if he was trying to be serious when writing.
From a Cop who sleeps with people to get information and succombs to peer pressure from his reporter partner in like 2.8 seconds, to the fact that he felt the need to pleasure himself about 6 times in the book because this said reporter partner was so gorgeous, everything thing just screamed I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M WRITING!
Thankfully it was 107 epub pages, so it wasn't that long. I equate reading this to watching a REALLY BAD, Campy, indy horror flick....it's entertaining to watch, but only because it's so bad.
I still give the book 1 star, it's the ONLY book I've ever given 1 star too LOL.
