Got the lawn tractor out this week and it has two flat tires. I couldn't find replacement wheels in the local hardware stores, and Sears wants $208 for an exact replacement for the rear wheel. So I took the wheels off, and tomorrow I'll go to the John Deere shop with my wife and get two new innertubes and perhaps a rear tire. A lot cheaper than replacing the wheels. I have the misfortune to have a discontinued model, and the generic wheels sold nearly everywhere (about $30 for front and $50+ for the rear) won't work on mine.
In the meantime, I replaced the pool pump only to discover that the hose from the pump to the filter is leaking, and since it's an older model filter, I'm having a devil of a time finding a replacement hose.
This summer is off to a rousing start.
On the plus side, my ex-DIL has volunteered to take over the garden.
