I'm happy enough with this book (I already own the series) that I'm going to repurchase all the paperbacks and give them as gifts to my dad. I think he'll like the absurdity of the scenarios.

The Discworld series has some really good LOL moments. Not all of the books in the series are a hit. But if you read them in published order, you'll get the most out of them and when you read the ones that give you the LOLs, you'll be able to ignore the ones that were not that good. So far, I've only read one that was ho-hum in the first 18 books.
