If the Amazon tablet is as locked down as the current Kindles I do not believe it will be a viable competitor to the nook color. The nook color wouldn't be as popular as it is if it were locked down as tight as a kindle.

You bring up a good point regarding price point due to being locked down. It will be interesting. I wonder how much people would be willing to pay for a locked down kindle tablet.
