In fact we don't know, and we're not all thinking the same thing. The .azw downloads may indeed be additional copies to go with the ePub, we just don't know yet.
Even if wait times do increase, so what? Kindle users have the same right to access their library services as anyone else. If that results in greater wait times, so be it. I'm getting pretty irritated at the implication that it would be better for Kindle users to do without than for ePub users to wait longer.
