No great love story here either. Love can be awkward in person, let alone in the disembodied world of the Internet.
But I did make great temporary friends. They came and went but it was a good, gregarious feeling to chat back and forth with like-minded (or not so like-minded) people, to get each others' jokes even though we were scattered all over the world and using English as a second/third/fourth language. It wasn't very different than the feeling I got hanging out with my offline (and more permanent) friends.
We were talking geek... if you were wondering, no that you were... but ya know...
