Do you mean like the notes templates, i.e. you click on the (say) notepad entry in the contentlister and it creates a new item to work with, leaving the original untouched so you can click on it again to create another one?
If so, not directly, but it would not be hard to contrive something to work like this. It would be a simple shell script that would create a new directory with a manifest file (perhaps) and copy over the PDF template, then perhaps open it up with ipdf.
