Yes there are differences between batteries... for a start the 900 was user replaceable as sold whereas the others can be replaced but you need to follow instructions carefully as they require partial dismantling of reader.

Switch off with quick move = sleep, switch off with move and hold = power off and you get a message to confirm...

I have lost my instruction manual, am going to see how I can get a new one, so I am a little unsure in some areas.

Took the battery out to get the numbers in case I have to order one. Hopefully, when I charge it later on (it is showing a full charge, right now after a couple hours) tonight, after being charged for over 12 hours it will hold the charge. If not, then I guess I need to get a new battery.
