@hoyasaxa - this isn't in response to your question but when you said above that you "downgraded" - did you have a backup of your earlier database that you used with that after you rolled forward as far as 0.7.56? As there were some pretty significant database changes between versions and there is a good chance you may end up with some real problems (the whole change to isbn/identifiers comes to mind but I'm sure there are probably others).
Downgrading calibre isn't supported, unless you are using the backup from that earlier version.
Would hate to see you have some serious issue when you try to roll forward again.
