I tried all your suggestions both with the Arabic epub I added and with one of the books in English that came loaded with the machine. The problem remains: the font is not being changed. I also tried changing encodings (automatic, UTF8, IS)--8859-8, and even Cyrillic), and I notice that none of the encoding changes have any effect either. The font size change does take hold, but all the documents I have tried remain in the ugly default font (Liberation Sans?).
I'm 99% sure it is a bug, and I called pocketbook-usa to report it. Any suggestions on bug-reporting? Would it help to have my Russian-speaking wife send a bug report on the Russian forum? (I notice Google Translate is not good enough for this sort of thing.)
