Which would you rather own: an older nook Classic, ser#1001xxxxx or a brand new nook Classic?
Here is why I ask this question:
I have a nook Classic that will be out of warranty come June.
I bought it at a "big box" electronic store.
I've been having intermittent problems with it.
They are nothing major; mostly it's just freezing up. Turning the nook off completely and them turning it back on solves the problem. It's a pain in the butt, but otherwise the nook is OK.
I called the "big box" store and described the problem. They asked for the serial number and said they would call me back. And they did!
They said they called B&N and B&N told them to accept it and give me a new one.
So I have the option of keeping what I have or getting a new one.
I have read that B&N has made some "cost cutting" type changes in the newer Classics.
SO I'm trying to decide if I should get a new one or stick with the older, ser# 1001xxxxxx I already have..
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
