I still think that the UK ought to have the audio equivalent of Project Gutenberg for old recording that have gone into the public domain completely. (Performance and music and lyrics.)
There was a lot of classical work done in the late 50's and early 60's in the classical realm, with the advent of tape and vinyl LP's.
