True... Amazon has nothing to do with the rules and limitations of the Lending feature. But it is
their feature. Maintained and made possible by their infrastructure. And you have to go to Amazon's webpage to
use the Lending feature. I don't think anyone was dissing Amazon, but just making sure that the OP was aware of Amazon's Lending Feature... regardless of how much the publishers have crippled it.
