Yes... I'm afraid it is true. While she is thriving, her sister just withered up and passed away. And worse yet... are you sitting down?.... today, we rode over the mountain through the Uji tea gardens and there were orphans everywhere! Both sides of the roads! Everywhere there was a crack in the road, or a small patch of flat ground, another baby was grasping for space and food. Scattered and abandoned to the elements, to be ignored and unloved. It broke my heart, I wanted to take them all back home with me, but what could I do?!?
