I read what you wrote and I'm sure it works fine for you but the point people are trying to get through to you and others, is your solution isn't one which we want... firstly I don't want to buy another eReader, I'm happy with the ones I have (both listed and not yet added), secondly I don't want to put my files on the net in any form, this is why I have personal computing solutions rather than being a user of a mainframe... this was actually one of the whole points of PC when the first ones were released - Altair etc - to allow one to use one's own data on personal equipment without the great high priests of the mainframe... and now you and many others want to hand control of your data right back to third parties whom you don't know... I don't have a Dropbox, my ISP and other systems do but they are NOT mine, I may just have the use of them but that doesn't make them mine...

And as a sidenote... I think the word you meant is "Luddite" and it is offensive as is the accusation of ignorance... the "unforeseen advantages" ignore the equal likelihood of unforeseen and foreseen disadvantages. Don't confuse I don't want /am not interested in with you must do what I want... if it has advantages for you fine but kindly appreciate that just because that's the case, it doesn't invalidate its unsuitability for me as I don't want your solution, I want mine...

All people have access to Dropbox for example so all people have access to a web server. The mind set of finding problems and refusing to see that there might be unforeseen advantages is kind of semi-ludite. And it is argument from ignorance: Just because I now cannot see any advantage for me then there is not advantage for me.
