OK do the following, get the file metadata.calibre from the root of your Kindle. Save it somewhere.

Now start calibre, let it connect, then quite calibre. Now get the file metadata.calibre again and post the two copies here. (be aware that doing so means people will know what you have on your kindle). If you dont want to post them here open a bug, mar it as private and attach them there.

EDIT: Another useful thing to do is run calibre in debug mode (click the arrow next to preferences) then connect your kindle. Post the debug log.
