I'm sorry to hear that time didn't fix the problem. I worry that you probably have to send it back to your seller.
When you receive a new one maybe leave the free books installed for a while and see if you can use your book for more than a week.
Only very few people had this problem and it might be likely related to something you've copied onto the device or deleted from it. For example, some people had problems with special symbols in the file names (like commas etc).
Hope the you will not experience this problem with your third reader.
