New ebook historical fiction: The Black Carriage
Hello all readers of historical fiction
Here is an introduction to my new book, published after seven years of research and preparation, and available on Amazon:
Black Carriage is the epic account of one man’s long, lonely, and tumultuous [I][I]crusade for justice and revenge. It is a story of murder, intrigue, and theft in a background of revolution and war.
He is a simple soldier in Haiti during the struggle to end slavery. In his quest to find the murderer of his companion and the abductor of his young son he becomes embroiled in intrigue at the highest echelons around Napoleon Bonaparte. Promoted to general, he campaigns in Switzerland, Italy, Haiti and Germany, becomes a prisoner in Jamaica and England, and exile in Tuscany, Belgium and South America. All this time he is hounded by unknown killers afraid that he will bring them to justice, and an Emperor keen for him to do his dirty work. Nothing happens as intended or expected, and his efforts to battle against the odds result in him resorting to extreme measures.
There is only one positive outcome; he lives to tell his amazing tale.
