I like your "you might like this if you like..." Neat feature. I'd love to do something like that, but honestly, I'm bad at stuff like that. It's somewhat ironic-- I'm not one who likes to discuss books, and I'm no good at giving recommendations when someone says "I like XX book, what else would I like?" I read so much, you'd think I'd be able to manage that, but I'm more of a book hoarder in my head.  |

I guess I'm more comfortable with giving recommendations because I like talking to a niche, and as a reader, I like quickly finding out what kind of book I'm dealing with. I'm a voracious reader of anything speculative fiction, but they can be very different. Some books may have more in common with other books outside their subgenre. Or some books may in fact have the most common with video game X or movie Y, and references to those may be more informative than the literary subcategories that they're being marketed under at the moment.
