Haha nyn, busted. The problem for me is that I am spending all of my time doing development and very little actually getting to use Calibre and the plugins in normal day to day tasks. Once I clear the backlog (though today I seem to have had a number of other things added to the list) I hope to just become a "normal" user again. Plus Book Sync suffers from the limitation of being limited to one device, and as I knew my Dad was about to get a second Kindle I didn't want him to start using a workflow he couldn't sustain

@meme - my sincere apologies, I should have plugged in the Kindle to check before posting. I went on memory, and my memory was that the two menu items were extremely similar by name and I knew I was going to have to carefully explain it to Dad. I liked the old simplicity of just clicking on the button rather than choosing from a menu of a whole bunch of stuff that he will never use and one menu option he (and I) will always use . In fact I suspect he would still be running the old plugin version from several months ago.
