in the corner of the kitchen is a partial case of soda pop. it's Thomas Kemper microbrew; rootbeer, black cherry, blood orange and cream soda. I don't drink very much soda, but when I do I like really good soda. I got this case in October... maybe November. it doesn't get used much so it kind of becomes a fixture. currently there is a partially empty 50 pound bag of potatoes on it. during the course of any given day Strider and Arwen will bounce off of anything that is even a remotely stationary target. the potatoes were obviously a target today and got shifted. Arwen's attention was caught by the fluttery edge of the bag so she started whacking at it. all of a sudden, the bag started dispensing potatoes much like a pez dispenser much to her delight. potatoes are kind of round and certainly a great deal of fun to be chased about on the floor. they are even more fun to bounce off of the dog. who likes potatoes. so I now have Arwen operating the potato dispensing pez bag, playing with them and subsequently feeding a very happy Newfie.

ahhhhh the cycle of life.... or silliness on a small farm... or something....
