Thanks - I have a clearer sense of what is happening now. I was hoping to simply get calibre running on a linux server, but as that has turned out to be three and a half projects - lol - so I thought I'd look at creating a shared lib so that it could be accessed by several persons.... even with rsync this is not going to be ideal. But calibre is fantastic and thanks for all your work
