I ordered one. Simply because I just want a back up kindle for my DXG. I wrote this month earlier and stated that I was nervous my kids would damage my DXG in the car or on the go. I ended up buying a refurbished kindle but decided to return it and spend the extra 5.00 for an ad kindle. It's not going to be my main reading device and I simply want something that easier to carry around with me, and won't devastate my wallet so much if it does get damaged.

Also it's a good option for parents who have kiddos that was a kindle 3, but aren't sure they are responsible enough for the more expensive devices. My six year old loves to read and is constantly asking for a reader, however I haven't bought him one yet because he is always taking apart electronics. I have kind of gotten use to waking up to make a cup of coffee and finding that my coffee maker is in 50 pieces, but I think it would affect me differently to know that a kindle 3 is in 50 pieces.
