I am in favor of any argument that Eris is a planet, as this grants me extra leverage in religious arguments with Christians: I get to point out that my deity is acknowledged as having a physical existence by top scientists, and theirs is not, and therefore my religion (Discordianism) is more valid than theirs.

This argument has successfully shut down many would-be proselytizers, and I welcome more support. I'm waiting for the final, definitive list of planets orbiting Sol to come forward; I suspect there will be 23 of them, as that is a sacred number to Discordians. This fact would prove definitively that ours is the best of all one true religions.
