"Readers are expensive"
I feel since I started this topic as Kindle at the beach the topic has now become about how readers are expensive. Maybe it should be renamed? LOL.
I've taken my reader out on a few trips now, not to the beach mind, but out to the park though I still don't like doing it there are some nutters where I live (cue the black guy walking in front of me reciting the lords prayer and then singing about Jesus and Mary and then approaching complete strangers to talk).
However it's nice having such a small reader as the SONY PRS350 as hardly anyone knows I have it, it conceals quite nicely into my jacket pocket. So I can take it out where I feel safer such as on a train or anywhere else I like.
Readers are expensive? Yes and maybe no too. I think they are reasonable, especially when on offer, my Sony reader cost me the same as a wifi kindle (£111) and it's generally more expensive than that kindle. I think the case was expensive in proportion to what I am getting for my money (a nice case with a light) that almost cost half as much as reader. If you love classic books its a great investment as you can get all the classics for free (maybe a few exceptions). If you love books though and you like to hunt for a bargain it's not as good imo (from my small experience of investing in ebooks) as many sites match prices to their competitors. However in the UK you can goto charity stores and pick up great books for a small charge (though it depends what you read whether or not you find what you like).
I am also going to a bookcrossers club this week and you can't trade ebooks, all my books are away being stored and I knew of a book I love that was on an offer so I bought a new copy for that of Brighton Rock though I have a lovely old copy somewhere, I just don't quite know where right now. Just some things I was thinking about, don't know how my post got so long!
