I followed the instructions from flip.netzbeben.de and tried to install the english version 0.5.13.8914 (2011/04/08).
The steps...
1. I copied DK_Documents, DK_Pictures, DK_System and the 3 bin files update_duokan_0b00x.bin to the root directory of my kindle.
2. Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Update Kindle
3. Update stops after 1/3 and I get a message that it was unsuccessful (U007).
4. I tried to uninstall duokan by copying update_unduokan_0b00x.bin (3 files) to the root folder, but here the kindle update procedures fails, too.
Would be wonderful if somebody could help me!
regards!

You are sure it is bearmann, not bear-wo-man ?

Well, I believe everyone is correct, - but I would prefer to only place the update file corresponding to your model.
It is correct that Duokan should select the correct one itself, but .. then you skip an extra safeguard against errors. There may be some programming error, for instance.
Duokan is not dependant on the Jailbreak, it manage all that itself. After a successful update, it shall remove those update files you have in the root directory. However - they seem to have forgotten to tidy things up recently. In another reboot, the Amazon update function may think it is it's own "update" and that will fail, thus you usually get an error message about a failed update. Most often (U003). I wonder if your error message is due to some change in path.. - looks like I have forgotten the details, sorry.
The update errors is created by the Amazon update mechanism, and usually the Duokan install/update works and is already updated. Your situation is not much fun, as you may have to reboot several times before it get's out of the situation.
NOW - press the power on button and HOLD it, do not Release it before you have counted to 30 or so.. when you have come to around 12, the green led may turn off, but keep holding it and continue to count. When it now reboots, it will do a more thoroughly reboot. You may have to do it several times. Hopefully - it will come around. Last resort will be to hook up some serial cable and attempt to save it.
Hope this helps, and wish the very best of luck.
( Maybe it was somewhat long answer, but hope to give some idea of what seems to take place. )
Added note:
You did try update_unduokan_0b00x.bin - which hopefully did uninstall Duokan, and everything should be back to normal. Which mean, you have to start from the beginning again.
Now, ALWAYS use a fresh copy of DK_System folder. Meaning - do not try to update duokan more then once with that directory as some files shall be removed by the install process, just like the update_duokan_0b00x.bin.
